The Rocky Mountains are a spectacular place to recreate, whether one is taking their dog for a hike or ice climbing a frozen waterfall. With Nature’s beauty, also comes risk, and thousands of individuals become lost and/or injured annually.
Response
Just west of Denver, those who need help in the backcountry can rely on the Alpine Rescue Team to assist them when having a “bad day in the mountains”, always FREE OF CHARGE. Alpine Rescue Team is a non-profit organization composed of over 65 volunteer professional mountaineers, who supply their own personal gear while also helping assist the team in fundraising for Team equipment such as ropes, vehicles, and safety equipment. Besides the 130 responses annually for lost or injured individuals, Alpine Rescue Team volunteers train several times per month to be certain they are ready when called for.
